SecProTec East Africa 2014 – ideal platform to serve the region with trade, marketing and information exchange
Leading trade show for Security, Protection & Technology; 20th to 22nd August 2015, Nairobi, Kenya
East Africa’s only dedicated trade fair for the security and safety industry took place from 20th to 22nd of August 2014 in Nairobi, Kenya. 45 international companies from 12 countries within Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa have been rewarded for their participation with a high profile and high quality 3 days B2B-event. The trade fair floor combined with a conference area attracted 1.312 pure trade buyers as well as government personnel from destinations throughout East and Central Africa.
“Shoulder-to-shoulder with Kenya’s Security Industry Association (KSIA) and the support of various government entities, the Kenyan Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as the Protective Security Industry Association (PSIA) the trade fair welcomed visitors from all sectors of the safety and security business and proved to be the best platform for sales, marketing and know-how transfer in the entire region” Skander Negasi, CEO of organizing partner Trade and Fairs East Africa, Nairobi, stated.
Among visitors one could find buyers from various East African countries, ministers, ex-ministers, cabinet secretaries, police chefs, defense attaches, association managers and presidents, security managers, security officers, procurement managers, solution integrators and engineers from small, medium or multinational companies with the aim to purchase, to inform and to exchange intellectual knowledge at the fair and the conference held at the same time.
After the difficulties in 2013, when the fair took place concurrent to the incident of the Westgate mall attack, SecProTec East Africa 2014 underlined its growing ambition by an increase of 60% in visitor turnout. Ingo Klöver, CEO of German based planetfair Group mentioned: “SecProTec East Africa recovered in a very strong way from last year’s circumstances. Exhibitors were very pleased with the results of the show. Our team is highly motivated to follow that path and bring SecProTec East Africa 2015 to the next level.”
All in all, the event fits perfect to the steady and substantial growth in East Africa accompanied by the challenges in security and safety. SecProTec developed itself to a “must-have” event while many participants announced their return in 2015 already onsite!
Organizers published onsite that next SecProTec East Africa will be held July, 09-11, 2015 in the KICC, Nairobi, Kenya.
